IST 782 Portfolio

My work informs my degree, and my degree informs my work.

A guided walkthrough of applied data science, operational systems, and professional growth.

Thesis

Applied data science becomes valuable when it stabilizes decisions.

The portfolio is not just a collection of projects. It is evidence of a method: structure the problem, clarify the state, preserve evidence, and support human action.

System 1

Financial control.

A fragmented reconciliation challenge became a more explainable control workflow through data cleaning, comparison logic, trend reasoning, and audit-ready communication.

System 2

Chemical compliance.

A high-consequence reporting process required governance, traceability, review states, and documentation that could support accountable sign-off.

System 3

Inventory control.

Expiration-sensitive inventory became a prioritization surface using FEFO logic, exception review, snapshot evidence, and operational adoption design.

Reflection

Coursework gave the work language. Work gave the coursework consequence.

The result is a practical method for turning ambiguous operations into structured, reviewable, decision-support systems.

Close

The portfolio is both an academic artifact and a professional evidence system.

It shows the movement from analysis to control, trust, and workflow design.
